The Avantis Solo is a more compact member of Allen & Heath’s Avantis series. It delivers much of the high‑performance capabilities of Avantis/dLive “engine tech” in a smaller footprint, with fewer physical faders and I/O than the full Avantis, but retaining very high internal processing, flexibility, and expandability.
Key Features and Specifications:
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Processing Core & Latency | Driven by the XCVI FPGA core, 96 kHz sample rate, with ultra‑low latency (~0.7 ms) from input to output. |
| Channels / Buses | 64 full processing input channels; 42 mix / bus outputs. |
| Physical Controls & UI | • 12 motorised faders divided into 6 layers (so you get 72 fader strips via layers). • Single 15.6‑inch Full HD capacitive touchscreen with gesture control. • SoftKeys (18 assignable) for shortcuts. |
| Local I/O | • 6 XLR analog mic/line inputs with phantom power. • 6 analog XLR outputs. • 1 stereo AES input; 1 AES stereo output. |
| Networking / Expandability | • 2 I/O card ports, each capable of 128×128 channels at 96 kHz, for optional cards (Dante, MADI, Waves, gigaACE, etc.). • SLink port for remote expanders, and compatibility with A&H remote stageboxes, ME Personal Mixing, etc. |
| Effects / Processing | • RackExtra FX slots (12 stereo FX slots, with dedicated returns) for delays, reverbs etc. • Optional “dPack” upgrade to unlock additional processing from the dLive lineage—zero‑latency DEEP Compressors, dual‑stage valve preamps, etc. |
| Other Features | • 16 DCAs (Digitally Controlled Amplifiers) for grouping/fader control. • Automatic Mic Mixer (AMM) function, for ease of use in situations with many open mics. • Full‑metal rugged chassis built for live / touring use. |
