The AR2412 can be placed up to 100m away from the mixer for maximum flexibility of positioning and includes rack ears for mounting in a 3U 19″ rack space.
The unit connects over a single Cat5 cable to the mixer or upstream Expander. A second port is provided for daisy-chaining to another compatible expander or for connection to a ME personal mixing system.

It is a 24 input / 12 output AudioRack (i.e. 24 XLR inputs and 12 XLR outputs) It operates at 48 kHz sample rate.

It uses a proprietary digital snake protocol called dSNAKE, connecting to compatible Allen & Heath mixers (e.g. Qu, SQ, Avantis) over a single Cat5 cable.

It allows you to place input/output (I/O) physically far from the mixer (up to ~100 m) while retaining remote control of preamps etc.

It supports cascading / expansion via ports (so you can link additional expanders like AR84 or AB168)
